Aspects Festival 2025 is happening from 24 September to 5 October at various locations around Bangor.
This year’s programme is bursting with events that reflect the richness and diversity of writing, from local voices in Bangor to renowned authors from further afield.
Whether you’re drawn to the rhythm of poetry, the depth of nature writing, the intimacy of book clubs, or the craft of bookbinding, there’s something here for every curious mind. Explore an exhibition of abstract paintings, take part in creative writing workshops, enjoy live music and dive into the world of podcast storytelling.
This year’s highlights include:
Dara McAnulty launches A Wild Child’s Guide to Nature at Night at Clandeboye Estate and performs at a special event with pianist Xenia Pestova Bennett.
David Trimble: Peacemaker – Stephen Walker discusses his new biography with Lady Hermon at Bangor Abbey.
Carol Drinkwater shares her latest novel One Summer in Provence at Bangor Castle.
Remembering Michael Longley – Two special tributes, including a commemorative evening at Bangor Castle and an art exhibition by Pauline Little at Bangor Carnegie Library.
