Festive themed entertainment that is sure to make for a terrific evening of fun with family and friends.

Free face painting and balloon modelling from 5.30pm followed by live music at Conway Square with compere, Cool FM’s Pete Snodden.
Lantern Parade, 6.45pm
Santa and his sleigh will lead a lantern parade along with local dance and Primary Schools from Ards Arena, South Street to Conway Square. Three delicately illuminated ballet dancers will delight and entrance young and old. Be wowed by Arco the aerial performer who will generate some magic before the light switch on.

The Mayor of Ards and North Down, joined by local Gold Medallist Rhys McClenaghan, will officially welcome Christmas to the town, by turning on the tree lights.

Set in December 1918, Archie Stratton and George Gordon return home from serving in France to find some changes in their home life in the Back Deeds of Newtownards. In particular, a bad penny has turned up from the past. Jack McCracken has settled into the gap the men had left while off fighting. As Ireland is left disillusioned and dishevelled, Home Rule is again a volatile issue. With rebels gathering and with a history of shady dealings, Jack may not be the gentleman he appears. A new local Comedy with a twist!
