From Comber now living in East Belfast Len has worked for hospital and community radio across Northern Ireland since the late 90s. You may remember Len from Ulster Hospital Radio, Fuse FM , Cuan FM and Chaine FM .
On Saturdays 3pm – 5pm you can catch Len co-presenting The Andy and Len show with his good chum Andy Kane to a global internet audience only on Big Hits Radio UK. Highlights include Lens infamous “On this day in History”
On Wednesday nights at 9pm – 10pm Len broadcasts from his bunker deep below the Big Hits Radio UK studio. Call of the weird takes a sideways look at the more bizarre side of modern culture. Conspiracy theories, forteana, weird literature, films, weird history and strange subcultures. All mixed up with some of the best big hits from the 80s and 90s.
Len describes his approach to broadcasting as a fusion of Louis Theroux, Jon Ronson and James Whale.
Call of the weird has been described as a “Fortean Times of the airwaves”
When not broadcasting Len can be found relaxing in a local tavern with a decent IPA and discussing history and politics with anyone who will put up with him.
